phish – alpine valley dvd

•November 17, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Phish has come up with a new dvd of this years Alpine Valley shows. Alpine Valley is a great place to see a show and last time they were there in 2003 Conner, Wells and I roadtriped to see them there. Alpine” as it is affectionately known, is a steeply-sloping amphitheater with a big lawn and raucous crowd perpetually bursting with energy right in the band’s faces due to the angles of the place. The angles all aligned on Saturday August 14th – the focus of the Alpine Valley 2010, a brand new 2-DVD/2-CD Box Set, which will be released nationwide on December 14th. It is available for pre-order today at Phish Dry Goods. I wish Phish would come out with these on BlueRay…Also we are still waiting for the festival 8 show to come out with a dvd… two get you warmed up here are a few clips.

Kruder & Dorfmeister

the black ryder

•July 3, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Two former members of the Morning After Girls get slots supporting Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the Brian Jonestown Massacre while clad in ubiquitous black denim and leather. Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride, the Black Ryder’s debut, is everything you’d expect from such a band. It’s a vast tableau encompassing brush strokes of My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Mazzy Star. Good stuff man.

Check some you tube songs for more tunes.
